What types of projects can online students expect in your course?
Students can expect to work on authentic, real-world projects that mirror the work of instructional designers and learning professionals. Whenever possible, projects are centered around real clients or realistic scenarios, allowing students to analyze needs, design solutions, and develop evaluation plans that address actual performance challenges. These projects are scaffolded throughout the course, building toward a comprehensive final deliverable that reflects professional practice.
What do you want students to learn in these courses?
These courses are designed to help students move beyond simply applying tools and models to becoming thoughtful, strategic practitioners who can analyze problems, make informed decisions using data, and design purposeful solutions that improve learning and performance.
Why did you start teaching?
I have always been a teacher in one form or another.
What advice would you give to those considering this online program?
This program is designed with working professionals in mind, but it does move at an accelerated pace. My advice is to be intentional with your time—success comes from staying organized, managing your minutes effectively, and engaging consistently each week.
